“CSC continues to be vigilant in applying infection prevention and control measures, including enhanced cleaning protocols, requiring masks, conducting ongoing education about hygiene and physical distancing,” it says in an email. “CSC also provides health care in its institutions and is active in monitoring for symptoms, conducting COVID-19 testing and contact tracing, as needed.”
The medium-security facility saw infections over the summer as well.
An outbreak at the Mission federal correctional facility saw more than 120 cases and one death. The outbreak had lead to a rally outside the institution in May, as advocates called for urgent care for prisoners across the country.
