New COVID-19 outbreak at Burnaby Hospital days after last one ended

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – Two days after a COVID-19 outbreak was declared over at Burnaby Hospital, another one has been confirmed.
According to Fraser Health, the new outbreak is in one unit where nine patients have tested positive for the virus.
The medical unit is closed for the time being, but the rest of the hospital, including the emergency room, remains open.
The health authority has notified all patients and their families of the outbreak, and contact tracing began when the outbreak was declared.
