Santa photos sell out within hours at Langley mall

We’re a month and a half away from Christmas, and photos with Santa may already be hard to come by.

Photo appointments at Willowbrook Shopping Centre in Langley filled up in just over two hours when they went live on Friday.

Marketing Director Nicole Lotz says the demand is likely due to the return to some normal this Christmas season.

      She says the experience will be very special, but due to COVID-19 it still won’t be the conventional Santa Claus meet-and-greet.

      “We’ve got some seats positioned in front of Santa so what that looks like is, it gives the illusion they are a lot closer than they are. Sitting on his lap is probably not for this year unfortunately,” she said.

      Anyone 12 and older will be required to show a vaccine passport or proof of vaccination in order to visit Santa. Children aged 5 and up are required to wear masks for their visit.

      Santa will arrive at Willowbrook mall on Saturday, Nov. 27.
