Man hit, killed by car in Vancouver’s West End

A tragic chain reaction has left a man dead after he was hit by a car in Vancouver’s West End.
Vancouver police say the pedestrian in a wheelchair was on a sidewalk at Davie and Thurlow streets around midnight Tuesday.
The impact of a two-car collision resulted in one vehicle skidding and hitting the 51-year-old man
Investigators are still trying to determine whether any of the drivers were under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time.

This is Vancouver’s 10th pedestrian fatality of the year.
