Metro Vancouver braces for cold temperatures, snow this weekend

Metro Vancouver can expect extremely cold temperatures, showers, and even snowfall this weekend, according to Environment Canada.
Two to four centimetres of snow may fall across the region on Saturday. In Metro Vancouver, snowfall accumulations are expected mainly at higher terrains.
Two to five cm of snow are possible over Metro Vancouver on Sunday.

An arctic front from the B.C. interior will move across the south coast and bring a period of heavy flurries to the region throughout the weekend.
An alert indicating strong outflow winds bringing in cold arctic air is in effect, bringing temperatures down by five to 10 degrees Celcius below seasonal average.
Windchill numbers will approach minus-10 C to minus-15 C in Metro Vancouver by late Sunday, and minus-15 C to minus-20 C in the Fraser Valley and Sea to Sky region.
