RCMP investigating New Year’s Eve single-vehicle collision in Surrey

A New Year’s Eve collision along King George Boulevard in Surrey left the major arterial road impassable for a few hours in the early morning of Sunday.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., the RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on King George Boulevard.
According to police, the vehicle was travelling southbound toward South Surrey and ended up striking a street light and some trees.

Southbound traffic on King George Boulevard from 56th Avenue was closed during the investigation, the removal of the vehicle and light repair.
Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
