Richmond arson suspect sought: RCMP

Mounties in Richmond are appealing to the public for help to identify a suspect in relation to an alleged arson.

The Richmond RCMP says just before 3 a.m. on March 27, officers responded to a “suspicious” fire at a home on Bryson Place near Bryson Drive, near the Cambie Road Highway 99 overpass.

Police say the resident told officers an unknown man was pouring flammable liquid on his front door and set it ablaze before fleeing. The fire was quickly put out, with the home suffering minor damage.

Mounties have released surveillance footage of the incident with the hopes of identifying the suspect.
