Surrey stabbing leaves 1 hospitalized: RCMP

Mounties in Surrey say one suspect has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left a man hospitalized Thursday morning.

According to the Surrey RCMP, officers were called to the Newton neighbourhood near 68 Avenue and 128 Street around 10:00 a.m.

Police say a 20-year-old man was found hurt and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Mounties say an initial investigation points to an “altercation” where the victim is believed to have “interrupted a theft from a vehicle.”

One suspect was also arrested and is in the custody of the RCMP.
