Langley RCMP seek suspect in series of sexual assaults

Police in Langley are seeking help to identify a suspect involved in three instances of sexual assault.

Between April 20 and May 4 in 2023, Langley RCMP says it responded to three incidents involving the same suspect, during which a woman reported being groped by a man.

The first occurred on April 20 around 7:40 a.m. near the intersection of 201 Street and 64 Avenue, police say. On April 25, police say a similar incident occurred near the intersection of 199A Street and Golden Ears Way. The final incident occurred on May 4 near the intersection of 81 Avenue 201 Street.

Police describe the suspect as a man that’s 5’10” tall, in his mid to late twenties and with a medium build.

They add he may be wearing a demin jacket with a cotton brim, dark hoodie, plaid hoodie, dark rimmed glasses, black baseball cap, and carrying a grey or blue backpack with a folded pocket on its right side.

“It is believed that the same man is responsible for all three incidents which happened within a fourteen-day period,” said Cpl. Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.

Anyone with information is requested to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file 2023-13170.
