Mounties in Coquitlam are looking for a suspect after a home invasion that sent one person to the hospital Wednesday.
The Coquitlam RCMP was called to a home near Dawes Hill Road and Warrick Street at 5:15 p.m.
Police say a man entered the home while several people were inside. One of the residents was reportedly assaulted before the suspect left.
The man suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
Mounties say this appears to have been a “targetted and isolated” incident.
A video of the suspect wearing a long black dress jacket walking along a pathway of the home has been shared by police.
The RCMP describes the suspect as a balding man who has a brown moustache, hazel eyes, and a medium build.
Police are now asking anyone who may have been in the area of Warrick Street and Dawes Hill Road between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, or who may have video from the area around that time to contact the RCMP at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2024-5739.
