About Nima

Nima Rajan has nearly a decade of experience in the world of TV journalism as a News Anchor, Video Journalist, Producer, Writer, and Editor, with a passion for human rights journalism. She has been recognized by multiple non-profits for her coverage of human rights issues, and received the Women Hero Award by the Indo-Canadian Arts and Culture Initiative for her documentary on sex trafficking in Ontario. In the summer of 2020, she became one of the youngest National News Anchors in Canada with the launch of her news show on a start-up news network. She has anchored for local television as well. Although you may see her anchoring the news desk most of the time, she wears many hats. From producing original interview segments with top news makers, to writing and editing news content for broadcast, Nima plays an integral role in the production of her newscasts. Beyond journalism, she loves her husband Colin, family, friends, and her adorable cat, Minnow. She loves to be active, stay connected with current events, read, and has a sweet tooth, particularly for chocolate. You can watch her at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. weekdays on CityNews Vancouver.
