Experience hands-on learning with interactive exhibits that educate and inspire, including a 3D projection map of a coral reef and the impact of its visitors. Discover the water footprint of everyday products and learn what insects need to thrive by exploring an insect hotel. This family-friendly journey promises to spark creativity, foster curiosity, and empower you to make a positive impact on the world around you. 2025 Courage To Come Back Awards | Nominations NOW OPEN

1130 NewsRadio is the proud radio sponsor of the 2025 Courage To Come Back Awards, presented by Wheaton Precious Metals.   Nominations are NOW open.

Recipients will be recognized in person in front of over 1,400 people at the Vancouver Convention Centre on May 7 2025. They will receive media coverage and their stories will be shared on social media.

The Courage To Come Back Awards will be awarded in four categories:

  • Addiction
  • Medical
  • Mental Health
  • Youth

The purpose of the Courage To Come Back Awards is to pay tribute to those who have overcome overwhelming challenges and now selflessly give back to their community. They are the hidden everyday heroes that deserve to be recognized and be celebrated for their contributions to our communities.  This recognition goes a long way to encouraging these individuals to continue their efforts to inspire those around them. It also gives them a platform to further promote the causes or issues that are important to them. They are our role models.

  • Nominations open on Tuesday, October 15, 2024
  • Nominations close on Friday, Jan 17, 2025
  • Award categories*: Addiction, Medical, Mental Health, Youth
  • The 2024 Courage To Come Back Awards will be on May 7, 2025.

*New for 2025, the Medical and Physical Rehabilitation categories have now been merged into one ‘Medical’ category to provide better clarity. Youth nominees are between the ages of 19 and 25.
