FORT ST. JOHN (NEWS1130) – The Olympic Torch travels from Dawson Creek to Fort St. John today, travelling through Chetwynd and Tumbler Ridge along the way.

Dawson Creek Mayor, Mike Bernier, says the entire community was feeling the Olympic spirit. “Especially all the kids and seeing their excitement and talking to people afterwards. Just for being this far up north in British Columbia, and for a lot of these people it will be as close as they’ll get to the Olympics. So, it was definitely something that they really absorbed.”

There will be a community celebration when the Torch arrives in Fort St. John.
