Game developers get props, for the first time

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Gaming is a huge industry in this country. But next week Vancouver will be hosting the first ever Canadian Videogame Awards.
In just over a week, the event comes to the Vancouver Convention Centre, celebrating the best this country has to offer.
Part of the fun will be VideoGamesLive – a symphony orchestra playing synchronized with visuals from new games and the old 8 bits.
As for awards themselves… The nominees for game of the year: Assassin’s Creed 2, Dawn of War 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Fifa 10, Might and Magic: Clash of the Heroes.
Tickets are still available for the May 5th event, and the following two days are the National Game Developers Conference.
