Running in memory of Terry Fox

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Keeping the memory of Terry Fox alive and raising money for cancer research, people across the country will mark the 30th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope this Sunday.

Terry Fox’s brother Fred says advancements have been made since the run began, but he can’t see it coming to an end.

“As long as we are still looking for a cure for cancer there is going to be the Terry Fox Run and people will still want to run in the Terry Fox Run after a cure is found because people want to remember Terry.”

He says he’s seen more and more young people and schools getting involved and raising money for cancer research over the years.
