Nine B.C. communities get ready to Run for the Cure

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – It’s the 19th year volunteers will come to together to fundraise for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
CIBC’s annual Run For the Cure takes place this Sunday.
Signy Wilson is a 10 year breast cancer survivor. “I did it the first year that I was diagnosed, so I was there completely bald. People came up to me and thought that maybe I was running for somebody else and that I’ve shaved my head in support of them. I have been running ever since, because it’s important for people to have that awareness.”
Last year, over 23,000 British Columbians laced up for the cause.
