CRANBROOK (NEWS1130) – The Vancouver Giants will look to earn their fourth win in a row when they head to Cranbrook tonight to face the Kootenay Ice.
The G-men are in the midst of their longest road trip of the season, a five-game trip that stretches over eight days. So far, Vancouver has won three of four matches on the trip and have extended its lead atop the WHL’s BC Division standings by three points over the Kelowna Rockets.
Vancouver has been red-hot in the New Year pulling a 11-3 record.
The Giants top line of Brendan Gallagher, Brendan Rowinski and Spencer Bennett have been a major reason why Vancouver have been on such a roll. The three have combined for 72 points since the start of 2011 and have scored half of Vancouver’s goals, combining for 32 of the Giants’ 63 goals.
After tonight’s game Vancouver will return home before heading to Kamloops for a one game trip versus the Blazers on February 12th.
