Who is Jane Doe?

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Her partial remains were found on Robert Pickton’s farm in 2002, and now police are hoping the public can help them identify a woman they’re calling “Jane Doe”. RCMP have released a composite sketch of  the woman.

All police know is the woman was white, between 20 and 40-years-old, and died sometime between 1985 and 1995. She was missing some teeth in the upper right portion of her jaw and may have worn dentures.

Half her skull, and some vertebra were found in 1995 at a creek in Mission.

RCMP Corporal Annie Linteau says the woman’s DNA profile and sketch is now available across the world, and she says the more people who see the composite sketch, the better. “If someone sees the picture and it resembles somebody that they know, we’re asking them to give us a call.”

Linteau says people should keep in mind the hair, nose, lips, and jaw in the sketch are an approximation.

She says Pickton has refused to give police any information on who Jane Doe may be.
