VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Science has proven it. Overweight people really do have bigger bones.
If you’re carrying around a little extra weight, go ahead, blame your big bones. Science has proven overweight people really do have bigger bones.
Researchers in North Carolina looked at the skeletons of more than a hundred men and found those who were carrying around some extra weight had bigger femurs. They say it’s because overweight people move differently to make up for their greater mass.
The discovery is good news for forensic investigators because it could make identifying remains a little easier.
