Investigation into suspicious Lower Mainland fires continues

By

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – The investigation continues into a number of suspicious fires on the Lower Mainland, including one at the farm belonging to convicted serial killer Robert Pickton.

Crews were called out late Friday night on reports of flames at a number of trailers on Pickton’s Port Coquitlam property.

They later responded to two more fires nearby, including one in a garage and another at a home that was completely destroyed.

The probe is also looking into whether a small fire at a local elementary school involving garbage cans is related.

Investigators say it’s too soon to tell what caused the flames, but they’re being treated as suspicious because of the large number of fires being started in such a short time.
