Molotov cocktail thrown at Anducci’s Restaurant

BURNABY (NEWS1130) – The Anducci’s Restaurant on Hastings Street at Stratford Avenue is closed after someone threw a Molotov cocktail at it overnight. The one-alarm blaze started around 3 a.m.
Assistant Fire Chief Ward Rossiter tells News1130 it’s up to the health department as to when the place can re-open.
“They had a fire on the exterior part of the building. There were some tables, like some wooden picnic tables outsides and they were up against the glass and the got going, and then it blew out a large section of windows. It entered into the building and let quite a bit of smoke into the restaurant.”
It’s up to the Vancouver Coastal Health as to when they can re-open, but Rossiter thinks it will take a while. Fire investigators and RCMP will be at the scene throughout the day.
