WestJet flights resume at YVR following tentative labour agreement

Flights are gradually resuming at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) after WestJet and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), which represents the airline’s cabin crew, reached a tentative agreement.
YVR spokesperson Chloe Reynaud said 21 WestJet flights are scheduled to operate on Monday as service begins to return to normal.
However, disruptions continue, with 49 WestJet flights cancelled throughout the day.
Reynaud is advising passengers to check the latest flight information before heading to the airport, as schedules may continue to change.
Additional flights are expected to resume over the coming days as operations recover.
To assist affected travellers, YVR has increased staffing levels to provide support and help passengers navigate ongoing cancellations and delays.
