Vancouver comedians win big at Canadian Comedy Awards

TORONTO (NEWS1130) – A group of Vancouver comedians are coming home with some hardware.

The Canadian Comedy Awards were handed out tonight in Toronto.

Stop Podcasting Yourself won for best podcast, The Sunday Service won for best improv troupe and the locally produced radio show This is That won for best radio show.

When reached for comment on the big win, Stop Podcasting Yourself’s co-host Graham Clark simply says: “It feels good.”

The biggest winners of the night were Halifax-based comedy troupe Picnicface, who won best TV show, best performance, best film and best performer in a film and best director for their movie, Roller town

This year’s ceremonies included comedic Canadian legends Alan Thicke and Colin Mochrie and wrestler Bret Hart.
