VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – Construction of the Evergreen Line has ramped up lately and it turns out, so have the number of complaints about the project.
Perry Staniscia with the City of Coquitlam says it’s important for people to file their complaints with the project managers, otherwise the city will never know about them.
“A few of them were to do with noise complaints from the pile driving and a couple other were to do with the traffic and construction in general.”
Staniscia isn’t surprised. “I mean these are large infrastructure projects you know of large magnitude so it comes with a whole set of construction challenges.”
He adds it is also likely people have filed complaints directly with project managers, which the city ensures are resolved.
The roughly $1.6 billion dollar Evergreen Line should be in service by the summer of 2016.
The project has a 24/7 information line 604 927-2080 and all noise complaints are responded to.
