SURREY (NEWS 1130) – Nearly seven years after Wendy Ladner-Beaudry was found dead in Pacific Spirit Park at the UBC endowment lands, her family is renewing appeals for information.
Once again, they’re putting up a reward in hopes someone comes forward with information that will help police solve the case. They’re offering $30,000 that will lead investigators to an arrest and charges of whoever is responsible.
The RCMP admits it hasn’t had any meaningful tips in two years since it took over the case from the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
Despite that, Wendy’s brother Peter is hopeful someone will tell police what they know. “There’s a giant imbalance out there, somebody has been killed and somebody killed them and, aside from the loss of Wendy, of not knowing who did it and not being able to bring that person to justice is tremendously frustrating.”
“We’re all here, putting up this money and meeting with the police. We think about it every day.”
Ladner-Beaudry’s body was found on a trail in the park. Police still believe her death was random.
Absent from today’s media event was Wendy’s husband.
