Lougheed Town Centre reopens after security threat

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – Hundreds of shoppers were hastily cleared out of Lougheed Town Centre this afternoon because of a security concern.
Staff say the entire building was evacuated at around 3 p.m. Later, shoppers were specifically told to stay away from the Tim Hortons entrance.
Mall operations were back to normal a couple hours later.
Burnaby RCMP have not confirmed any details about the threat.
