LOWER MAINLAND (NEWS 1130) – Finding activities to keep your teenager busy, happy and active through the summer can be tough. But there are plenty of adventure-based things to do across the Lower Mainland — and they don’t have to cost you an arm and a leg.
Most of these activities cost $20 or less:
Go Karting
Take the kids out for a bit of an adrenaline rush at one of several karting locations. There are some age and height requirements, but at less than $20 per race (and often cheaper per race, if you do more than one in the same visit), it’s an adventure outing that’s less likely to break the bank.

Adventure obstacle course
There’s a unique adventure spot, hidden in Maple Ridge, where kids and teens can swing, play, and go wild — Wild Play features obstacles high up in the trees. There are ziplines, rope swings and even tightropes.

Trampoline Park
If your kids have a lot of energy to burn, you can try letting them loose at a trampoline park. These parks are great for all ages, but teens can get some serious air, and there are usually designated times for little ones (Toddler Time), so outside of those times, teenagers can really let loose. There are also various structured games that take place at the trampoline parks, too.
