Man suing province over alleged existence of Sasquatch to return to court Wednesday

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A self-described “Sasquatch tracker” will return to court on Wednesday, as he fights to have what he says is evidence that Bigfoot is real heard before the BC Supreme Court.

Todd Standing says the province has failed to protect the creature.

“So what really upsets me is I’m out there saying ‘you have to do something, it’s your job, it’s fish and wildlife’ and they do nothing and say nothing,” Standing told City TV. “Go tell them you saw a Sasquatch and see what happens, they’ll do nothing, they won’t give you a piece of paper, they never have, they never will.”

He is fighting to have evidence go to trial but says he doesn’t know what his chances are.

“I know the judge was smashing a lot of stuff that we put up there but what does it take? Does it take one branch for him to say ‘that’s good enough for this to go to trial?’ I don’t know, I just don’t have any experience.”

He’s arguing the province has been derelict in its duty to protect the Sasquatch.

The BC Ministry of Environment is trying to have this case thrown out.
