VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – There’s been a lot of backlash following TV presenter Piers Morgan taking to social media to mock Daniel Craig for how he carries his child.
The “Good Morning Britain” host tweeted a photo of the James Bond star carrying his daughter on his front, using a baby carrier.
“Oh 007.. not you as well?!!! #papoose #emasculatedBond,” Morgan tweeted.
Actor Chris Evans shared Morgan’s tweet, writing “You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child. Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside.”
Morgan sent the tweet on Sunday. Since then, fathers from all over have proudly taken the hashtag #emasculatedbond to share photos of them carrying their babies.
In response to all of these photos, Morgan doubled down, claiming men were only sharing these photos “because their wives/girlfriends told them to.”
Dictionary.com weighed in, tweeting “we double checked the definition of emasculate. There’s nothing about being a load-sharing father to be found there.”
