Another record high for gas prices in the Lower Mainland

LOWER MAINLAND (NEWS 1130) – You may be driving by in shock at the new record high for gas prices in the Lower Mainland.
On Wednesday, some stations posted $1.719 per litre for regular.
Analyst Dan McTeague with GasBuddy.com expects the price will tick back down to around $1.69 by Thursday.

Drivers in our region are said to be the most taxed in all of North America. There’s no timeline as to when when you may see any relief.
According to numbers from the energy ministry, 65 per cent of B.C.’s total gas supply comes from across the Rockies.
Two BC refineries supply 25 per cent of what the province needs. The remaining 10 comes from the States.
UCP leader Jason Kenney, who will be come Alberta’s premier following Tuesday’s provincial election, has threatened to cut off our gas supply.
