Wildfire growing in Kamloops, suspected human-caused

KAMLOOPS (NEWS 1130) — Fire crews are working on putting out an out-of-control, growing wildfire about 25 kilometers east of downtown Kamloops.
The fire has grown in size over the past several hours, now up to 19 hectares, in a neighbourhood just east of the Barnhartvale neighbourhood of that city
People driving on Highway 1 can see the tan-coloured smoke pouring into the sky.

BC Wildfire Service says there aren’t any structures threatened by the fire, for now.
Crews are on the ground battling the flames, and airtankers were sent in earlier in the day Sunday.
And another wilfire of note is in Northeastern BC, west of Fort St John.
That fire is about nine hectares in size, and is fully contained.
