VICTORIA (NEWS 1130) — Andrew Weaver may have stepped down as the leader of the BC Green Party, but a sartorial souvenir of his time at the helm is now available to supporters.
The provincial party has launched an online store, apparently at the behest of their supporters.
“Show your enthusiasm for the BC Greens – and green movements around the world – by sporting one of our new exciting designs,” says a release.
One of the designs features leader Andrew Weaver, while others feature Orcas and trees. There’s even a onesie for infants.
Prices run from $30 for a T-shirt to $75 for a zip up jacket. The website says purchasing merch does not count as a political donation.
The Greens say their products are locally printed and that the materials they use are provided with brands that guarantee fair, ethical labour practices.
The federal Liberals and Conservatives have online stores, as does the People’s Party of Canada.
None of B.C.’s other parties have online stores.
