North Vancouver RCMP clear area after search for suspect near Lillooet Park

NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – Police on the North Shore have now cleared out of Mt. Seymour Parkway near Lillooet Road, near Capilano University, following earlier concerns about a person spotted with a weapon.
The call may have been unfounded.
Sgt. Peter DeVries with North Vancouver RCMP had said the university wasn’t at risk.
“Possibly a weapons call, but we have a number of officers in the area and we’re doing some dog tracks, so we’re just asking people to stay out of the area,” he said.
