COVID-19 case at long-term-care home in Langley

LANGLEY (NEWS 1130) — Another long-term-care home in Langley has a COVID-19 case, the Fraser Health Authority confirmed Tuesday.
The case involves a resident at Maple Hill, a long-term care facility owned and operated by Fraser Health.
The resident is in self-isolation at home, says a release.
Fraser Health is working with staff to identify anyone who may have been exposed and is taking steps to protect the health of all staff, residents, and families.
Maple Hill is located in Langley Memorial Hospital.

Langley Lodge, another long-term care home, has had multiple COVID-19 outbreaks, which resulted in 24 deaths — the most at any one site in B.C. during the pandemic.
“There are no new resident cases of COVID-19 to report, and all of the remaining cases have recovered,” says a post on the Langley Lodge website from Monday.
The same day, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry reported no new health-care facility outbreaks, while four remained active.
She also declared one at the South Granville Park Lodge over.
Fraser Health also announced all sites have implemented the single-site policy and the health authority will be monitoring to ensure compliance.
