NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Two popular Grouse Mountain trails are getting upgrades.
The Grouse Grind and B.C. Mountaineering Club trail are getting $2.4 million dollars worth of work courtesy of the federal and provincial governments.
The overall goal is to “enhance the overall access, experience and safety for park users,” according to a release from the federal government.
Approximately 2,900 metres of the BCMC trail will be “reconstructed and realigned,” with signs and kiosks being added to help people navigate the terrain.
The plaza at the trailhead of the Grind will be expanded and improved.
