Fraser Health declares COVID-19 outbreak Chilliwack Capella Dance Academy

CHILLIWACK (NEWS 1130) — The Fraser Health Authority is declaring a COVID-19 outbreak at the Capella Dance Academy in Chilliwack after someone contracted the virus.

As of Monday evening, 26 people at the dance academy have tested positive for the virus, with close contacts also being told to self-isolate.
“Those identified as cases and close contacts have been instructed to self-isolate,” a release from Fraser Health reads.
Sarah Wood, the owner of the dance academy, took to Facebook to outline some of the circumstances.

The academy has voluntarily closed on Oct. 28, and Fraser Health will inspect the site.
Fraser Health is also working with affected school districts to ensure they are aware of any potential exposure.
