VICTORIA (NEWS 1130) – A technical issue at BC Ferries ticket booths has slowed things down at the Tsawwassen ferry terminal.
The company says it’s working to fix the ticketing issue as quickly as possible, however, some sailings are running behind in the meantime.
“We do expect that issue to be resolved shortly but it has caused some delays for our vessels leaving Tsawwassen this morning,” Deborah Marshall, spokesperson for BC Ferries, explains.
“The Queen of New Westminster is running about 40 minutes late and that’s one of the vessels that operates between Tsawwassen and Duke Point. We’ve also got the Spirit of British Columbia about 20 minutes late on the Tsawwassen-Swartz Bay run,”
It’s unclear what exactly is causing the technical problem but Marshall says traffic is relatively light today, so BC Ferries expects to make up for lost time throughout the day.
