WHITE ROCK (NEWS 1130) – Despite people flocking to White Rock’s pier and promenade to take in the waterfront sights last weekend, city council has decided against closing or limiting access to the area.
Special meetings were held this week due to concern about the spread of COVID-19 when the area gets crowded.
On Monday, Mayor Darryl Walker said it was possible for council to decide to close the pier, the promenade and/or the parking lots.

While we’re allowed to go outside with some people who aren’t in our immediate household, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has said that doesn’t mean we should.
