One man dead after Surrey car crash Monday

SURREY (NEWS 1130) – One man is dead, and two other people injured following a one-car crash Monday morning in Surrey’s Guildford neighbourhood.

Emergency crews were called to 108 Avenue near the Hawthorne Rotary Park just after 7:00 am.

One passenger was found badly hurt, and despite the efforts of paramedics and firefighters, he died at the scene.

Two other people in the vehicle were transported to hospital, and are expected to survive.

Police say while the cause of the crash is still being investigated, impaired driving may have been a factor.
