Two new Harrison Lake wildfires as lightning strikes

CHILLIWACK (NEWS 1130) — There are two new wildfires close to the Lower Mainland Saturday, with both on the northern half of Harrison Lake, northeast of Chilliwack.
The firefighting service says that no fires have been reported on the southern portion of the lake. BC Wildfire says it’s linked to multiple lightning strikes.

One fire is currently 0.5 hectares in size, while the second is currently 0.3 hectares in size.
Resources, including air tankers and one helicopter, have been deployed and crews are attending fires.
