Surrey man injured in Kelowna shooting

KELOWNA (NEWS 1130) — Kelowna RCMP have confirmed two people were injured Saturday night in an apparent targeted shooting.
A Surrey man has been identified as one of two victims injured.
RCMP say a 25-year-old Surrey man is still in hospital with injuries that are believed to be life threatening.
The second victim, a 37-year-old Kelowna resident has been treated for injuries and has been released from hospital.
Mounties say witnesses saw a man leaving the scene in a silver SUV.
Just before 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Kelowna RCMP received reports of shots being fired in the area of Pandosy Street and KLO Road.
When officers arrived, they saw two adult males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The two men were then transported to hospital.

Police say no arrests have been made at this time, but the incident is believed to be targeted.
“Officers remain on scene conducting neighbourhood canvassing, speaking with witnesses, and gathering physical evidence,” Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy, media relations officer, says. “The investigation is still in its early stages and officers will be in the area for an undetermined period of time.”
