Vancouver police chase leads to crash near Science World

The area along Quebec street near Science World has been shut down due to a heavy police presence.

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) – A police chase near Science World in Vancouver ended with a collision along Quebec Street Thursday night.

Witnesses say they saw a police cruiser driving after vehicle, which ended up crashing into a parked car. Glass shattered, and was scattered across the road.

According to witnesses, the driver of the first vehicle initially ran away, but was later seen in handcuffs.

Vancouver police say that person is believed to have been driving while impaired, adding “multiple” police cruisers were damaged.

No one was hurt in the incident.

There’s no word on charges, but police say the investigation is underway.
