Liberals hold on to all three North Shore ridings

NORTH SHORE (NEWS 1130) – The Liberal candidates in all three ridings on the North Shore have kept their seats in the 2021 election, but not without a nail-biter of a race in West Vancouver – Sunshine Coast – Sea to Sky.

In the hours after the polls closed, the race was one of razor thin margins between Liberal incumbent Patrick Weiler and Conservative challenger John Weston, a former two-term MP for the riding who was ousted by the Liberals in 2015.

But through the evening, Weiler slowly pulled ahead, and in the end was declared the winner.

The NDP’s star candidate, environmentalist filmmaker Avi Lewis, wasn’t too far behind.
