Record $70-million winning Lotto Max ticket sold in Burnaby

BURNABY (NEWS 1130) – The winning ticket for the largest-ever jackpot won in B.C. has been sold in Burnaby.

The BC Lottery Corporation says one winning ticket was bought in the city for the $70-million jackpot, though it’s not revealing exactly where just yet.

The seven winning numbers are: 2, 5, 8, 18, 23, 31, and 35.

The location the winning ticket was bought at will be unveiled if the winner steps forward to claim the jackpot.

Lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their tickets to claim their prize. According to the BCLC, the odds of winning the Lotto Max jackpot are a whopping 1 in 33,294,800.

More than $163 million in winnings from Lotto Max have been redeemed in B.C. since the start of 2021.
