Port Alberni man who sexually assaulted sex workers to spend six years in prison

A man who sexually assaulted several sex workers on Vancouver Island will spend up to six years in prison.
Stephen Bradley Ewing, who’s from Port Alberni, has been sentenced after pleading guilty to seven charges dating back to 2018.
His youngest victim was 15.

The now-42-year-old will be listed on the National Sex Offender Registry for the rest of his life.
Six years minus 45 days for time served.

Ewing is also banned from using guns until he dies.
For 15 years after he’s released from custody, his DNA will be stored in the national database and he’s not allowed to visit certain places. The judge factored in 45 days for time served since he was taken into custody last month.
