The owner of the MV Zim Kingston has hired a contractor to removed beached debris and containers.
“Crews were at Cape Palmerston [on Oct. 29 and 30] collecting debris from the beach. They removed 35 industrial garbage bags and three helicopter bags filled with Styrofoam yesterday and about 40 refrigerators have been moved above the high-water mark for removal,” says the B.C. Spill Response update.
