Fire at Vancouver seniors’ housing complex leaves one man hurt

One person is hurt after a fire at a senior’s housing complex in East Vancouver.

The fire broke out at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday at Chelsea Lodge on Nanaimo Street near Grandview Highway.

A man is being treated for burns, though it’s unclear how serious his injuries are.

Fire crews were able to contain the second-alarm blaze to one suite and put the flames out quickly.

There’s no word on how the fire started.
