Young girl sexually assaulted on North Vancouver trail

North Vancouver RCMP received a report Thursday that a young girl was sexually assaulted earlier this month.
According to Mounties, on Friday, Feb. 11, the young girl was walking along a trail close to a bridge in Trillium Park near Seymour Heights Elementary School, where a man approached and groped her around 5:30 p.m.
She managed to fight off the man and run away.
Police say the man is described as 5’8’’ tall, in his 40’s with greying hair, brown eyes and a slim build. He was wearing blue jeans with a dark blue track jacket, a black baseball cap and a blue face mask. He was walking with a small white dog that was off-leash.
