A B.C. man is still recovering — two weeks after he was knocked out by a thrown egg on Vancouver Island.
Nanaimo RCMP say he was hit in the head by the egg, which was thrown from a passing car, just after 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 25.
The 37-year-old was knocked unconscious and taken to the hospital as a result. Police say the man was standing with two friends at a bus stop on the west side of Uplands Drive when the incident happened.
The man has “limited memory of the incident and continues to have some difficultly with his thought process,” Mounties say.
It’s believed those responsible didn’t intend to hurt anyone and might not actually know the extent of their actions.
“With that in mind, this individual and those in the vehicle, need to step up, take responsible for their actions and call the police”, said Const. Gary O’Brien of the Nanaimo RCMP.
Anyone with information about what happened on Uplands Drive near the Edgewater Lane turn off is asked to call the RCMP at 250.754.2345, and quote file # 2022-6661.
