A North Vancouver shooting in broad daylight at a Real Canadian Superstore parking lot left 34-year-old Milad Rahimi dead, and police say the man was targeted.

North Vancouver Mounties have released a photo of Rahimi in an effort to speak with his friends and associates to build a timeline of what he did in the days leading up to his murder.

Rahimi was known to police, and they say there is no threat to the public as his murder was targeted.

RCMP say the suspect fled north on Seymour Blvd. and turned westbound on Mt. Seymour Parkway. The shooter was driving a newer model, dark blue, Mazda 3 hatchback, with stolen license plates.

“We will aggressively pursue this investigation, we will not stop. If it takes 10 years, if it takes 20 years we will not stop investigating this in order to make our community safe,” said Sgt. Peter DeVries.
